Big Content would like to outlaw things no one has even thought of yet

Does anybody remember back in the day when you would record a song you knew was about to play on your boombox and would hand it out to friends. Or remember that thing called VHS we all used to love and when a movie came out on HBO or Cinemax we would record it and watch it with all are friends or even....get this....gave it away :::a hush falls over the crowd::: These things are nothing new. It just seems that with the blossoming of the Internet and digital media, the big entertainment companies feel the need to change everything and regulate even the devices we can use...that havn't even been dreamed up yet. How the hell do they get away with this? None of them are starving, they all make HUGE amounts of money. I am sorry I just have no sympathy for the Devil. These types of initiatives need to be brought to a DEAD STOP! Article brought to you by the great folks over at arstechnica.com
