Sony considers PS3 game downloads

"SONY is considering making its back catalogue for the Playstation and Playstation 2 available for download.

According to a report at GamesIndustry.biz, several developers are already in talks with Sony about the downloading plans.

The report says that the talks are only focusing on whether or not the plan is technically possible and are a long way from games actually hitting the net yet. The idea will be similar to Nintendo’s Revolution digital download system. It does have the slight problem is that Sony's elderly games are pretty big while the Nintendo back-catalogue games were only a few megabytes."
