PC Upgrade Planning: 2006 Edition

The guys over at Extremetech do a pretty good summary of what to expect this year when it comes upgrade time. They mull over the common things that everyone thinks of. What should I get, should I wait? Should I buy today? All the pros and cons are laid out kind of nicely I think.

That's not exactly romantic, to be sure, but upgrading your PC system affects your bottom line directly. Plan poorly, and you're stuck with older technology for longer than you might like.
